Mission Impossible

Do you like going to concerts? Wow, when I was growing up and well into my twenties, I couldn’t get enough of going to see my favorite bands. I went through a phase of being obsessed with Bon Jovi. Went to more concerts than I can remember to see the band and it’s gorgeous lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi. I remember once a girlfriend and I spent a small fortune buying front row seats to see the band playing at our biggest arena at the time in New Jersey. This was back in the 80’s. The crazy thing about going to that concert was that I ended up feeling disappointed. I mean our seats were directly in front of the band. Piratically no better seats in the house. But the whole time I was expecting some “magical” feeling to come over me. Like, “hey, I’ve got front row seats and should be flying high”. And I didn’t feel that way – oh it was fun for sure and I’ll always remember it but, it doesn’t rank as one of my all time favorite concert experiences. Probably because I didn’t dance enough and just let myself go with the flow, which is my favorite thing to do at a concert. My mind was just too focused on being in the front row and I didn’t relax. Now here is the really sad part, the last rock concert I went to was in 2009 to see David Cook and Ryan Star at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. And that was a fabulous time. I danced and sang and let loose – wow, I had the best experience. Never saw that one coming. Life can show up with some amazing and wonderful surprises sometimes can’t it. And for that I am truly thankful. BTW- Happy Thanksgiving. Namaste and Blessings, Mia Bella
